The 5th annual Cruise for a Cure, presented by Macon Bank & Trust, rolled through Macon County on Saturday, September 20th, and it was a night to remember! Classic cars, trucks, and other vehicles joined the lineup, some even adorned with green bows to show their support for Sherry’s Hope!

The 45-minute cruise took participants on a scenic ride through the beautiful backroads of Macon County before everyone gathered at the Macon Drive-In for an evening movie under the stars. After the event, Macon Bank & Trust presented Sherry’s Hope with a check for $2,498, a generous gift that will help local families affected by cancer. Sherry’s Hope is deeply grateful to Macon Bank & Trust, the participants, and all who helped make the event possible. Cruise for a Cure was more than just a showcase of cars; it was a celebration of community, hope, and the power of coming together to support those affected by cancer.

Sherry’s Hope is a Christian, non-profit organization that works throughout the year to provide hope to families battling cancer in Wilson County and surrounding communities by offering emotional encouragement and financial assistance. In addition, Sherry’s Hope works to spread colon health awareness by distributing free colon cancer screening tests and providing colonoscopy assistance.
